We, the company pro et con Innova\u00adtive Infor\u00adma\u00adtik\u00adan\u00adwen\u00addun\u00adgen GmbH, leader of technology in the field of software migration, and the MAN Truck & Bus SE today announ\u00adced the successful comple\u00adtion of a common software migration project.<\/p>\n

Content of the project reali\u00adsed in the term July to Decem\u00adber 2013 was the automa\u00adtic migration of simple, text-orien\u00ad\u00adted screen masks into modern, user-friendly, graphic-orien\u00ad\u00adted user inter-faces. Thereby our echno\u00adlo\u00adgies and tools were used.<\/p>\n

The highly complex program systems \u201cWMX2000\u201d, used in the Munich plant, plan, control and monitor the produc\u00adtion proces\u00adses in truck and bus produc\u00adtion. Ca. 800 ASCII-based screen masks offer the possi\u00adbi\u00adlity to get infor\u00adma\u00adtion about the produc\u00adtion process and to control this. This screen masks worked over decades robust, but regar\u00adding design and user guidance before the moder\u00adni\u00adsa\u00adtion they didn\u2019t meet current requi\u00adre\u00adments any longer.<\/p>\n

The migration tool MaTriX<\/a> (Mask Trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion Toolbox) develo\u00adped by us reali\u00adses the moder\u00adni\u00adsa\u00adtion of the no longer up-to-date, ASCII-orien\u00ad\u00adted screen masks essen\u00adti\u00adally automa\u00adtic. This signi\u00adfi\u00adcantly reduces the project costs and the project term in compa\u00adri\u00adson with a manual conversion.<\/p>\n

\u201dThe new inter\u00adfaces available after the migration not only comply with the modern MAN-CI, but further\u00admore offer all elements of a modern user inter\u00adac\u00adtion\u201d, comments Curd Maier, Head of CC Produc\u00adtion Planning & ontrol and project manager at MAN. \u201cSo on the one hand modern function\u00ada\u00adli\u00adties for display\u00ading and proces\u00adsing the produc\u00ad\u00adtion-relevant infor\u00adma\u00adtion are available, on the other hand an optimi\u00adsa\u00adtion and flexi\u00adbi\u00adli\u00adsa\u00adtion of the system archi\u00adtec\u00adture is reached.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>
