pro et con parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adtes with two Lectures at the 24th Workshop \u201cSoftware-Reengi\u00ad\u00adnee\u00adring & \u2011Evolu\u00adtion\u201d (WSRE)<\/h2>\n

Physik\u00adzen\u00adtrum Bad Honnef<\/p><\/div>\n

The workshop \u201cSoftware-Reengi\u00ad\u00adnee\u00adring & \u2011Evolu\u00adtion\u201d (WSRE)<\/a> is the most important German-speaking forum on the topics of software moder\u00adni\u00adsa\u00adtion, reengi\u00adnee\u00adring and mainten\u00adance. Every year it takes place at the Physik\u00adzen\u00adtrum Bad Honnef<\/a>. The workshop is organised by the GI-specia\u00ad\u00adlist group called \u201cSoftware Reengi\u00adnee\u00adring\u201d<\/a> and this year brought together scien\u00adtists and practi\u00adtio\u00adners for the 24th time to exchange experiences.<\/p>\n

pro et con parti\u00adci\u00adpa\u00adted with two presentations:<\/p>\n

Mr. Erdmen\u00adger was able to report on a successful COBOL-Java migration project at S\u00fcdLea\u00adsing GmbH, which recently went live:
\n<\/a> \u201cJedes COBOL-Java-Migra\u00ad\u00adti\u00adons\u00ad\u00adpro\u00ad\u00adjekt birgt neue \u00dcberraschungen\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

A compe\u00adti\u00adtion for the best student master\u2019s thesis was integra\u00adted into the workshop this year. The four best works were selec\u00adted from a series of written appli\u00adca\u00adti\u00adons. The four authors were able to present their work as part of the WSRE confe\u00adrence program. As an additio\u00adnal recogni\u00adtion, the lectures will be published in the journal \u201cSoftware\u00ad\u00adtech\u00ad\u00adnik-Trends\u201d.<\/p>\n

Felix Gra\u00dfler\u2019s master\u2019s thesis, which was super\u00advi\u00adsed by pro et con, also reached the top four. He presen\u00adted these as part of the WSRE confe\u00adrence program under the follo\u00adwing title:
\n<\/a> \u201cAutoma\u00adti\u00adsierte Migration von Legacy-Dateien in relatio\u00adnale Datenbanken\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n
