TECHNOLOGY LEADER FOR SOFTWARE MIGRATION
pro et con (program & conversion) is the technology leader in software migration. We possess the know-how and tools to migrate complex legacy systems (historically grown individual software) into modern IT architectures.
Our tools support all components of a software migration (programming language, GUI, middleware, data/databases) and are combined in our pecBOX (pro et con – Toolbox for Software Migration). This allows us to respond quickly, flexibly and cost-effectively to any new or special customer requirements with respect to a migration project. Therefore, demanding migration projects can be carried out within the planned project period and budget frame. Numerous reference customers confirm this. Software migration essentially represents a genuine alternative to development from scratch and replacement by standard software.
Our unique selling point is the consistent application of scientific compiler-building methods in the development of technology and tools. As a result, a high degree of automation is achieved. This in turn brings down the project duration, project costs and error rate in contrast to manual migration.
INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE COMPANY
In 1994, the owner-managed company was founded by scientists of the Faculty for Informatics of the Technical University of Chemnitz (TU Chemnitz). The aim was to execute commercial migration projects using scientific methods of compiler technology and in-house developed software tools. We have 30 years of experience in and around this special field of informatics. Our technologies and tools are constantly updated through joint research projects with universities. The research results are published regularly.
